What happens to my rubbish after it is sent for recycling?

Once the parcels are checked in at our warehouse, the contents are inspected for compliance based on the accepted product packaging intended to be collected for that programme. The parcels are weighed to record how much rubbish has been sent, and then it’s sorted into bulk bags ready for processing.

The rubbish collected is typically shredded, washed, melted and transformed into plastic flakes or pellets, which are then turned into recycled products such as outdoor furniture. Take a look at our behind-the-scenes video, which explains our recycling process here.
